Tied around gifts and used to mark significant moments, its meaning has never belonged only to the decorative knot itself.
What mattered was the intention carried through it — the invisible feeling made visible through form.
Living in Dubai, surrounded by different cultures, made me look back at Japan from a distance. What I rediscovered was not simply a traditional craft, but a way of giving form to feeling.
LiEN Noor brings that language from the gift to the body. Through contemporary jewelry, Mizuhiki becomes a connection between past and present, Japan and the world, one person and another — and sometimes, between who we are and who we are becoming.
